Dr. Chris K. Harper

Dr. Harper was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia on an academic and tennis scholarship, where he earned a bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry. He then went to work as a dental sales consultant for 8 years. Dr. Harper then began dental school at UAB School of Dentistry in Birmingham, where he graduated in 2007. While attending dental school, he was inducted into the International Association of Student Clinicians, and was chosen to represent UAB Dental School at the American Dental Association's Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. Dr. Harper is a member of the Alabama Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Orthodontic Society, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the UAB Dental School Alumni Association. Continuing education is a top priority to Dr. Harper. He has focused his additional training on orthodontics, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry. He has obtained additional certifications in the comprehensive orthodontics, Six Month Smiles Cosmetic Braces System, ClearCorrect invisible braces, Lumineers, sleep apnea treatment, and oral conscious sedation (sedation dentistry). Dr. Harper enjoys running, mountain biking and boating. He and his wife Carol are active members of the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce and the Guntersville First United Methodist Church. Their daughter Mandy is a scholarship student at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.


Aaron J. George, DMD

Dr. George is a native of Vicksburg, MS. He attended college at the University of South Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. He played baseball on scholarship there. Dr. George then attended dental school at the University of Mississippi, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. He has attended continuing education courses in endodontics (root canals), and dental implants. He and his wife, Mollie Richards George, also of Vicksburg, have twins, Garrett and Avery. Dr. George looks forward to making a life here in Guntersville, where he can enjoy his interests of fishing and boating. He also enjoys baseball and football, working out and traveling. Dr. George and his family attend St. Williams Catholic Church in Guntersville, and are active with the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce.

Meet our Staff

Carol G. Harper, JD

Practice Manager

Carol is responsible for office administration, accounts payable, human resources, and marketing. Carol is a two-time alumus of the University of Alabama, earning her bachelor's degree in 1997, and her law degree in 2003. Carol practiced law in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa until 2009 when she and Dr. Harper moved to Guntersville. Since that time, she has worked with her husband to manage the dental practice.

Carol is very active in the Guntersville community as a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Guntersville and the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce. She is also a Founding Member of the Marshall County Women's Guild. Carol serves on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Marshall County, Mountain Valley Arts Council, and the Foundation for Marshall Medical Centers. She teaches the "Junior Achievement" course to 8th grade students in the area, and teaches the Dave Ramsey "Financial Peace University" course at Guntersville First United Methodist Church, where she and her husband, Dr. Harper, are members.


Angie Womack, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Angie began her career in dentistry in 1997 working as a dental assistant. She earned her dental hygiene license from UAB School of Dentistry in 1999. Angie has attended many hours of continuing education courses which have helped her to educate her patients about their oral health as well as their overall health. She says the most rewarding part of her profession is the personal connection she shares with each of her patients. Angie lives in Scottsboro with her husband and two daughters, who are both attending college. She and her family attend church at The Church at Lake Guntersville.


Angela Holland

Dental Assistant

Angela has worked in the dental field since 1996. She most enjoys crown and bridge procedures as it allows her to see a finished case with a beautiful end result. Angela was born and raised in Douglas, AL where she still lives today.


Cheryl Maddux

Scheduling Coordinator

Cheryl has work in dental office administration for nine years. She enjoys meeting people and helping them to accomplish their dental needs. Cheryl lives in Sardis with her husband. She has one son and one granddaughter, one step-daughter and one step-son. Cheryl is a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sardis, AL. She and her husband enjoy going to the beach, spending time together and with family and friends.


Freda Mauldin

Dental Assistant

Freda has worked in dentistry since 1998. She began as a dental assistant in Scottsboro, AL where she worked for 10 years before relocating to the Huntsville area. She worked in Huntsville for 5 years, until she joined the Total Dental Care team in 2013. Freda enjoys working with patients, and helping them to achieve their dental goals. She is married and lives in Grant, AL. Freda has one son and one daughter who are both attending college. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.


Gina Kirkley, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Gina has worked in dentistry since 1979, when she began as a dental assistant in Opelika, AL. She and her family moved to Guntersville in 1981. Gina received her dental hygiene license from the UAB School of Dentistry in 1985. She enjoys taking care of her patients and helping them with all their dental needs. Gina has two daughters and two grandsons. She is an active member of the Guntersville First Baptist Church, where she sings in the choir.


Glenda Meadow

Treatment Coordinator

Glenda works with patients to find affordable payment arrangements for the treatment they need. She also handles the dental insurance claims for the practice. Glenda completed dental assisting school at Chattanooga State Technical College in 1985. She has worked in dentistry for 21 years, in both Tennessee and Alabama. She has worked with TDC for 4 years. Glenda enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She is married and has two children and one grandchild. Glenda attends Ryan Baptist Church in Ryan, AL.


Haley Anderson

Dental Assistant

Haley has worked in the dental field since 2001. Her favorite thing about dentistry is the relationships she forms with her patients and seeing how dentistry changes their lives. Haley lives in Scottsboro with her husband and has two sons, Buckner and Drake. She loves to spend time with her family and friends, especially her sons' sporting events.


Kristin Moore

New Patient Coordinator & Records Manager

Kristin is responsible for maintaining patient records, processing new patients, and managing insurance benefits. She attended Snead State Community College and completed dental assisting training in 2013. Kristin lives in Albertville and enjoys boating, shopping, spending time with friends, and with her young nephew. She also enjoys meeting new people, trying new things, and volunteering her time with various community service projects. Kristin is an active member in the Sunrise Rotary Club of Guntersville and the Marshall County Young Professionals Association.


Paula Kirby

New Patient Coordinator

Paula is responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments, management of insurance benefits, and records management. She has worked in dental office administration since 2006, and enjoys meeting new patients and seeing them achieve their goal of a healthy smile! Paula lives in Union Grove with her husband and youngest son. She also has a son and daughter-in-law that live in Arab. Paula enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys painting in her free time.


Renee Santiago

Dental Assistant

Renee graduated from Wallace State Community College in 1988 with a certificate in dental assisting. She has worked in the dental field ever since, and has worked with TDC for 4 years. She has earned certifications in comprehensive orthodontics, and the Six Month Smiles Cosmetic Braces System. Renee will be attending more advanced training in orthodontics in February and March 2015. She enjoys meeting new people and making her patients feel welcome and comfortable during dental visits. Renee is married and lives in Arab; she is very active in her childrens' activities. She has a daughter that goes to Arab High School, and a son that attends the University of Alabama. Renee enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.


Sandra Young, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Sandra began her journey in dentistry in 1988 by volunteering as a dental assistant at Camp Darby in Livorno, Italy. She eventually traveled to Albertville, AL in 1991 and worked as an assistant while going to school to earn her dental hygiene license, which she obtained in 1996. Sandra has continued her volunteer work at the Great Physician's Clinic in Albertville for the past ten years. She has worked with TDC for 1 year. She is married, and has three daughters two step-daughters, and three grandsons. Sandra loves traveling, walking, hiking, but most of all loves spending time with her three grandsons. She attends Central Baptist Church in Albertville. Sandra is proud to have joined the team at Total Dental Care.


Victoria Powell, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Victoria has 21 well-rounded years in the dental field. She began in dentistry in 1992 as a dental assistant, but soon realized that dental hygiene is where her true passion really lies. She received her dental hygiene license in 1995 from the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in Birmingham, and has been helping patients to improve their oral health ever since. Victoria combines her caring attitude with a gentle touch. In her spare time, she enjoys rafting, motorcycling, 4-wheeling and trying to keep up with her energetic french bulldog!


Mollie George

Director of Public Relations

Mollie has worked in dental field since 2005. She was a practicing dental hygienist for 8 years until she and husband Dr. Aaron George moved to Guntersville. She attended Mississippi State University and graduated from the Dental Hygiene School at Meridian Community College. Mollie serves on the Board of Directors for the Mountain Valley Arts Council, and the Race to Remember committee for Hospice of Marshall County. She is also active in the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce serving as an ambassador and the Marshall Women's Guild. Mollie and Dr. George have two children, twins Garrett & Avery. They are active members of St. Williams Catholic Church.
